Use this overview to understand what each role can see and do in Smartflow.
Admin
Admins can manage platform setup and complete operational work.
- View all documents.
- Upload documents and run extraction.
- Review, edit, approve, or reject extracted fields.
- Export approved data.
- View covenant dashboards.
- Configure alert settings, integrations, users, and roles.
Analyst
Analysts focus on document processing and data quality.
- View all documents.
- Upload documents and run extraction.
- Review, edit, approve, or reject extracted fields.
- Export approved data.
- View covenant dashboards.
Reviewer
Reviewers focus on validation and approval controls.
- View all documents.
- Review, edit, approve, or reject extracted fields.
- View covenant dashboards.
- Reviewers do not upload documents, run extraction, export approved data, or manage configuration.
Notes
- Admin has full platform access, including configuration tasks.
- Analyst focuses on document processing and data quality.
- Reviewer focuses on validation and approval controls.
How authorization works
Smartflow uses role-based access control. Your role controls the actions you can take, such as uploading documents, reviewing fields, approving results, exporting data, or managing users.
In the first release, access is based on seeded Admin and User roles. Custom groups and roles are planned for Q2 2026, and SSO integration is planned for Q3 2026.
If your access does not match your job, ask your administrator to review your role assignment.
